The American Security Cabinets division is a manufacturer of a large, diverse line of secure metal cabinetry for recycling purposes that enables the safe collection of a diverse range of items, including post-consumer materials.
About the role
Internship Start: June 2026
Internship End: August 2026
The Operations and Engineering Intern will support the review of operational processes and product designs, help identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings, and contribute to initiatives aimed at standardizing and improving the product catalogue.
  • Review operational processes and product designs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support initiatives focused on innovation, OPEX, CoGS savings.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at standardizing and improving the overall product catalogue.
  • Assist team members with day-to-day tasks and ongoing projects.
  • Support administrative and operational activities.

What we need from you
  • Currently enrolled in University or College and working towards a degree or diploma.
  • Educational experience in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of the environmental services sector would be an asset.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication with strong writing and editorial abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Highly organized.
  • Competent when working independently, and on a team.
