Job description

We have a short term (1month) contract with a medical client to support Hardware Modernization efforts.

This is only a 1 month contract. Recent healthcare experience is preferred as medical compliance needs to be current.

Current medical compliance is required:

Vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Flu, Covid, Tdap, TB screening) are required

That could be someone coming from a medical background or military experience. 

Rate: $28/hr. Max. No Parking/transportation. 

Description

•Perform systems analysis and program design tasks, including computer system specifications development; developing systems and operational procedures; developing data models; and writing, testing, and maintaining computer application programs.

•Conduct training programs on new or revised software applications; write support documentation and prepare training materials.

•Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and initiate corrective procedures; install and maintain software and hardware.

•Update and maintain various system software such as operating systems, security software systems, backup systems, directory maintenance, capacity and resource management systems, local software utilities, and printing systems.

•May assist and advise management regarding computing facility requirements and make recommendations as requested.

•Participate in testing and evaluating hardware products in planning for institution standards. Diagnose and resolve hardware problems and refer complex problems to hardware maintenance, software support or vendor support. Install and configure hardware and peripheral devices.

•Provide standard to complex level analysis, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end computing devices, system software and drivers in support of the client's systems, departments and individual users.

•Install and support IT Services' standard desktop hardware and software. Support networked and stand-alone peripherals.

•Create and manage user groups and publish applications to user groups.

•Maintain strong customer relationships for gathering business requirements, developing new technologies, and communicating user support resources.

•Consult with users, analyze their computing needs and develop and maintain database/spreadsheet applications.

•Evaluate and implement user requests.

•Follow up with customers and management to confirm that work has been performed as expected.Required Qualifications:

•Three years of experience in programming and/or computer support services of a technical nature OR One year of experience as Computer Support Specialist I OR equivalent education/experience.

Desired Qualifications:

•3+ years professional experience in complex information systems environments.

•Experience developing and implementing distributed network file sharing and print services.

•Experience supporting Macintosh operating systems.

•Experience with end device management tools.

•Demonstrated experience in developing and improving workflow procedures for emerging technologies.

•Familiarity with ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) Framework.

•Demonstrated experience working with hardware and software vendors.

•Familiarity with TCP/IP.

•Healthcare industry experience.

•Proficiency using PC-based productivity tools.

•Experience in the use of remote desktop management tools.

•Experience writing and troubleshooting scripting language(s).
