Job description

We are looking for a Desktop Administrator to support employees across remote and onsite locations through responsive technical assistance and dependable endpoint management. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys solving user issues, maintaining device standards, and keeping desktop environments running efficiently. The role combines hands-on support with documentation, hardware coordination, and administration of core workplace technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the main point of contact for incoming support requests, managing and resolving issues through the corporate ticketing platform.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for onsite staff as well as employees working from remote locations.
• Configure, image, and deploy laptops and desktops using approved tools, including Macrium and Microsoft Intune.
• Create and maintain user-friendly documentation, including process instructions, system guidance, and internal help materials.
• Administer and support printers, device credentials, and other shared desktop infrastructure components.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting and repair for laptops and related end-user equipment as needed.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, and assist users with software access and functionality issues.
• Contribute to endpoint patching activities and help maintain consistent device management standards as the organization continues adopting Intune and Macrium.
• Provide secondary support for Apple devices, including macOS and iPadOS environments, alongside existing team resources.
• Coordinate the shipment and tracking of hardware components intended for storage, deployment, or replacement.• Experience supporting desktop and service desk environments with a strong focus on ticket-based issue resolution.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Windows administration, and basic to advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with Active Directory for user and device support tasks.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Intune for endpoint management and deployment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Enterprise applications, including Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to support and troubleshoot Mac OS devices in addition to Windows-based systems.
• Experience documenting technical procedures and explaining system usage clearly to end users.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and deliver effective resolutions.
