Job description

Established in 2004, OLIVER is the world's first and only specialist in designing, building, and running bespoke in-house agencies and marketing ecosystems for brands. We partner with over 300 clients in 40+ countries and counting. Our unique model drives creativity and efficiency, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions that resonate deeply with audiences.

As a part of The Brandtech Group, we're at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge AI technology to revolutionise how we create and deliver work. Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision-making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.

Role:  Designer

Location:  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

About the role:

As Designer, you'll work at the intersection of brand strategy, visual communication, and user experience — translating complex briefs into creative concepts that resonate with audiences and achieve clear business outcomes. You'll bring creative ambition and commercial awareness to every project, delivering work that is both visually distinctive and strategically sound. Alongside your own output, you'll play an active role in developing junior designers and contributing to a collaborative creative culture within the team.

What you will be doing:

  • Create visual concepts and integrated campaigns across digital, print, and experiential channels that drive brand awareness and audience engagement
  • Develop design systems and brand guidelines that ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints
  • Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, and account teams to translate strategic insights into compelling creative executions
  • Design user-centred digital experiences — websites, apps, and social platforms — optimised for engagement and conversion
  • Present creative concepts to internal teams and client stakeholders, articulating design decisions and strategic rationale with clarity
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects from concept through final delivery, maintaining creative quality and timeline adherence
  • Iterate and refine creative work based on feedback, performance data, and evolving client needs
  • Support and develop junior designers, contributing to an inclusive and collaborative creative environment
  • Stay current with design trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to continuously improve creative output

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating creative excellence across multiple channels, with experience developing concepts from strategy through execution
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma or equivalent design platforms; confident working with MS Office including PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to create clear, accurate financial services data visualisations, charts, and infographics — from straightforward to technically complex
  • Solid understanding of digital design principles including responsive design, user experience, and platform-specific requirements
  • Experience designing across channels including social media, web, email, print, and out-of-home
  • Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to translate complex briefs into clear, compelling creative solutions
  • Collaborative working style, with experience partnering across strategy, copy, account management, and development teams
  • Understanding of brand development and visual identity systems, with experience maintaining design consistency at scale
  • Knowledge of print production, digital asset optimisation, and file preparation across output requirements
  • Confident presenting creative rationale to diverse stakeholders, from creative peers to senior client contacts
  • Commercial awareness — able to balance creative ambition with practical constraints including budget and timelines
  • Advanced use of Gen AI design tools — including Midjourney, DALL-E, Adobe Firefly, and Figma AI — to enhance ideation, iteration, and asset creation
  • Experience designing AI-assisted workflows for yourself and your team, improving creative quality and iteration speed
  • Ability to guide others on effective AI tool usage while maintaining creative standards and originality
  • Agentic thinking applied to creative challenges: exploring multiple design directions systematically, identifying optimal solutions, and executing with clear creative reasoning
  • Strong understanding of AI capabilities and limitations in creative contexts, with rigorous human oversight applied throughout
