Job description

Designer
Our client is a custom manufacturer specializing in the design and fabrication of retail display solutions. This role offers an opportunity to work on projects from concept through production while collaborating with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to develop practical, customer-focused designs.
Responsibilities:
* Create 3D models, drawings, and production documentation for new and existing products
* Develop designs that support efficient manufacturing and assembly processes
* Collaborate with sales teams to turn customer concepts into manufacturable solutions
* Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support material planning requirements
* Generate machine programs for CNC, punch, and brake equipment
* Work closely with production teams during prototype builds and new product launches
* Support engineering changes, drawing revisions, and legacy documentation updates
* Participate in project meetings and assist with project planning activities
* Ensure projects are completed accurately and within established timelines
* Provide technical support throughout the design and manufacturing process
Requirements (Schedule First):
* Ability to work a full-time onsite schedule in a manufacturing environment
* Strong CAD and 3D modeling experience
* Mechanical aptitude with the ability to develop manufacturable product designs
* Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
* Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing processes
* Familiarity with Bills of Material (BOMs) and MRP systems
* Millwork, cabinetry, retail fixture, or custom fabrication experience is preferred
* Strong organizational and project management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work effectively with both office and shop-floor personnel
