Bergmeyer designs experiences for several of the world’s most ambitious brands, and we’re looking for a Senior Designer in our Bostonor Columbus office to join us in shaping the future of retail. This talented and resourceful designer will bring a positive, collaborative work style to lead design on projects for our clients. You’ll take ownership of complex projects from concept through construction, mentor team members, and deliver exceptional work across a broad range of consumer environments. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’sdegreeinInterior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
  • NCIDQ Certification or Architecture License is a plus
  • 8-10 years of recent experience in retail-based projects
  • ProficiencywithRevit and Adobe Creative Suite
  • ExperiencewithEnscape or similar visualization tools andMiroaplus
Essential Skills and Responsibilities
  • Ability to develop and communicate compelling design ideas quickly and effectively, translating creative thinking into thoughtful, buildable solutions in collaboration with project teams, clients, and consultants
  • Lead the full design process from conceptual design through Construction Administration as the senior design resource on a project team
  • Mentor and guide design team members, providing thoughtful feedback and creative partnership while supporting the development of their technical and design skills
  • Initiate innovative design concepts and maintain design intent across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and bring curiosity and sound judgment to design conversations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work closely with clients while building trust
  • Comfortable navigating brand standards and working directly with brand-focused clients
  • Experience with fast-paced projects and the ability to meet deadlines with high quality, thoughtful solutions
  • Knowledge of retail design trends, including digital technology integration, emerging markets and retail formats, and experiential design
