Job description

Role Summary

Product Designer, Design Systems Design and UX is seeking an experienced product designer to design and build UI components, patterns, AI interaction patterns, and tools that enable designers and engineers to create consistent, high-quality user experiences, including AI-assisted and agentic workflows.
About the team: Our Design System team is responsible for user experience and UI libraries across various internal and external products. You will collaborate with other designers, engineers, and design managers on a broad range of design challenges, as we strive to create user-friendly experiences for our audience of product builders.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design reusable components and patterns that align with design principles and support consistent implementation across products.
  • Create, maintain, and evolve shared UI libraries, templates, and tokens in Figma.
  • Define and refine system-level patterns for AIassisted workflows, agentic experiences, and generative or dynamic UI.
  • Create UX patterns for multistep task orchestration, humanintheloop review, and other AIsupported workflows.
  • Translate emerging product needs into scalable design system solutions, and document patterns and guidance that enable teams to adopt and extend the system effectively.
  • Partner with designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure system patterns are feasible, implemented consistently, and meet product needs; review usage to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Advocate for accessibility across all design system work, including new AIdriven experiences.
  • Establish design system guardrails that reduce adhoc AI UX decisions and improve consistency, quality, and speed across teams.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the design system as new AI interaction models and more adaptive product experiences emerge.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of product design experience in a product-focused technology organization.
  • 2+ years of experience designing and evolving design systems, including reusable components, patterns, and documentation.
  • Portfolio should demonstrate both design systems work and product design for AI-enabled or workflow-heavy experiences.
  • Strong skills in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping, demonstrated through a portfolio of desktop and mobile work.
  • Strong command of Figma, including component libraries, variables, and advanced system workflows.
  • Prior experience designing and shipping AI-enabled product experiences, including AI-assisted workflows, agentic interactions, or generative UI.
  • Ability to work within an established direction while independently defining new patterns when needed.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional partners, especially engineering and product.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and document decisions clearly.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience defining design system guidance for AI-enabled product experiences.
  • Experience creating patterns for adaptive, dynamic, or context-aware interfaces.
  • Experience with design tokens, variables, and implementation-minded system thinking.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG and how they apply to evolving interaction models.
  • Ability to connect product needs to reusable system solutions that improve consistency and reduce rework.
  • Experience helping teams adopt design systems through documentation, reviews, and practical guidance.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and shaping standards in an area that is still evolving.

  Education

  • Bachelor's/University degree.
  • Formal UX education or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 39,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 136,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
