Job description

Perkins&Will's North Carolina studio is seeking a Digital Practice Specialist to help drive digital innovation across our project teams. You'll work closely with the studio's Digital Practice Manager, bringing your skills in Revit, Rhino, and visualization tools to support high-quality, technically fluent design delivery - while helping shape the workflows and practices that keep our studio at the leading edge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with and reports to the studio's Digital Practice Manager.
  • Collaborates with design teams to develop project-specific implementation strategies.
  • Provides ongoing support and consultation to ensure the success of digital design and delivery workflows.
  • Ensures quality assurance with project teams to maintain modeling quality, adherence to firmwide best practices, and consistency of information across applications.
  • Assists with technology training, conducting workshops, and participating in curriculum development.
  • Coordinates with the firmwide Digital Practice group to promote local adoption of new technologies, workflows, and practices.
  • Coordinates application support with the IT infrastructure group and firmwide help desk.
  • Participates in office and firmwide planning related to digital design and delivery innovation.
  • Proactively maintains and communicates current knowledge relative to technology through journals, vendor resources, marketing collateral, and the design community.

Proficiency In
  • Familiarity with design workflows and digital delivery processes.
  • Ability to support project teams and assist with technical problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written, oral, and graphic).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and provide support as needed.
  • Eagerness to learn new design technologies and workflows.

Software Proficiency
  • Revit - Required
  • Rhino - Preferred
  • Visualization tools (e.g., Enscape, Lumion, Adobe CC) - Preferred
  • Data tools (e.g., Excel) - Preferred
  • Other applications in Perkins&Will's design technology suite - Preferred

Licensure/Certifications/Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
  • LEED GA within 6 months of hire.
  • Professional accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you (LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation), preferred.
  • Active involvement in AXP or starting the ARE Process, preferred.
