Role description:
The Senior Design/Project Manager for workplace/ commercial interior projects is responsible for managing all aspects of projects from conception to completion. This includes: client relationships, mentorship of the team, drawing production, site administration and the overall successful delivery of the project. 
As a Senior Design/Project Manager, you will use your interpersonal and leadership skills for project delivery and must have an understanding of project financials to determine the necessary resources required. In this position, it is integral that you have extensive Construction Administration knowledge as well as very strong technical abilities.

Role accountabilities:
  • Act as the point of contact for projects with both internal and external teams. Liaise between Clients, Client Project Managers, General Contractors/Construction Managers, Suppliers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and Sub-Consultants to mention a few
  • Provide technical, construction and Ontario Building Code (OBC) expertise to staff
  • Work with the internal technical standards team to maintain and implement changes to design and technical standards. Work with the team to communicate updates to the office
  • Perform all typical Construction Administrative responsibilities 
  • Directly responsible for all financial elements of projects throughout all phases of the project from pre-project to handover including but not limited to: preparing overall project budgets, reviewing and providing comments on GC/CM-provided construction budgets, project billings and invoicing, etc. 
  • Prepare, monitor, and update: work plans, schedules, and risk registers to mention a few 
  • Prepare and submit building permit applications 
  • Prepare and/or review construction document packages as required
  • Mentor junior and intermediate staff on construction administration responsibilities, site reviews, and working drawing production 
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 15+ years of experience managing commercial interiors or fit-out projects
  • 10+ years of experience working with general contractors and construction managers on site
  • Possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with flexibility and resourcefulness to handle any situation that may arise from working within a multiple-project environment
  • A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architectural Technology, Architecture, or related field
  • Strong software skills with proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD as well as MS Office Suite of programs

The salary range for this position is $93,000-$139,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
