Job description

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 34,000 people, in over 30 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Arcadis is seeking a Digital Engineering Information Manager to lead and support the implementation of ISO 19650-compliant Information Management workflows on infrastructure and capital projects. This role involves managing the setup and governance of Common Data Environments (CDEs), ensuring control over structured data and documentation across multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, the manager will act as the Information Manager on active projects, coordinating project information requirements and digital deliverables to align with client expectations, Arcadis standards, and contractual obligations.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead project-level information management activities in alignment with ISO 19650 standards, focusing on the setup and maintenance of Common Data Environments (CDEs), metadata standards, and structured data delivery processes. You will be responsible for developing project workflows, data management plans, and information architecture documentation in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This involves establishing, configuring, and maintaining the CDE, including managing user permissions, folder structures, naming conventions, status codes, and document lifecycle controls.

You will coordinate with project teams to define and manage Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), Project Information Requirements (PIR), and the associated Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP). Supporting BIM coordination activities is also crucial, including model federation, clash detection readiness, data validation, and COBie/asset data structuring as needed. Leading the creation of Information Management Plans, Data Management Plans, Workflow Diagrams, and Delivery Protocols will guide teams through consistent and efficient information handling.

Facilitating internal and external reviews, approvals, and information exchanges in alignment with agreed-upon workflows and project milestones will be part of your responsibilities. Monitoring CDE usage and compliance through regular audits and reporting, you will identify issues and coordinate resolutions with technical teams. You will liaise with digital leads, BIM managers, design coordinators, and client Information Management representatives to ensure data interoperability and alignment across platforms like ProjectWise, ACC, and Aconex.

Additionally, you will support the onboarding and training of project staff in information management protocols, CDE access, document handling processes, and digital quality control expectations. Your role will also contribute to continuous improvement by refining information management templates, developing reusable tools, and capturing lessons learned for application across future projects, ensuring that Arcadis stays at the forefront of digital engineering and information management excellence.

Aligned to the Arcadis Leadership model we seek Arcadians with a strong fit to our leadership success profile, to build and drive our culture of inclusion, accountability, human-centricity, and sustainability. Successful leaders at Arcadis will possess strong learning agility, combined with a balanced mix of being curious, driving success and igniting passion.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Information Management, BIM coordination, or digital delivery roles within large-scale infrastructure or capital projects
  • Deep knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and their practical application across project lifecycles
  • Strong working experience with CDE platforms such as ProjectWise, BIM 360/ACC, Aconex, or similar, including setup, administration, and user governance
  • Practical understanding of tools like MIDP/TIDP, EIR/PIR, LOIN (Level of Information Need), and asset data handover formats such as COBie
  • Familiarity with BIM processes and tools (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, IFC workflows) and workflows for linking, reviewing, and verifying model and document data
  • Proficient in structured data workflows, metadata tagging, and QA/QC for digital deliverables
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, clients, and platform partners
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (required); certifications in ISO 19650 or BIM Execution Planning preferred
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with a commitment to delivery excellence and continuous learning
  • Motivated to grow into leadership roles and adaptable to fast-paced, evolving project and client environments
