JOB SUMMARY:

Jetaire is seeking an innovative and solutions driven Operations Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing high-performing teams and driving operational excellence. The Operations Manager is responsible for making data-driven decisions in fast- paced and matrix-driven environments. Highly adept at identifying and establishing new process enhancements that optimize operational workflow to meet the needs of customers. Must possess ability to think analytically, communicate effectively, and deploy lean principles that drive efficiency and cost containment.

This role owns a weekly KPI cadence (baseline → current → target with corrective actions), leads root cause & corrective action (RCCA), and integrates project execution with the ongoing operational “floor pulse.” Experience in AS9100/FAA operations is expected.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own operational performance cadence: Run weekly tiered operations reviews with KPI dashboards (OTD, FPY, scrap, labor efficiency, WIP, inventory accuracy); publish action plans with named owners and track to closure.
  • Drive problem solving and quality rigor: Lead RCCA/CAPA for top issues (minimum one completed RCA per month), verify effectiveness, prevent recurrence, and partner with Quality to implement in process inspection with defined checkpoints, sampling plans, and escalation triggers.
  • Plan and execute production: Implement S&OP and finite scheduling aligned to takt time and constraints; develop staffing and ramp plans to consistently deliver OTD ≥95%.
  • Lead people and accountability: Set expectations; coach, counsel, and apply progressive discipline consistently; run tiered daily management, maintain skills matrices, drive cross training, and escalate cross functionally with clear ownership and deadlines.
  • Own systems, assets, and data integrity: Own ERP/MRP execution and master data (BOMs, routings, lead times); Quantum Control strongly preferred. Establish PM/TPM cadence, coordinate CMMS, and track MTBF/MTTR to improve equipment reliability.
  • Control inventory, safety, and standard work: Achieve and sustain ≥97% inventory accuracy through cycle counting/ABC and variance elimination; own SOPs/standard work and document control with training and effectiveness checks; lead EHS/OSHA programs (JSAs, LOTO, near miss reporting) in a shop environment with limited temperature control.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 6+ years in manufacturing operations; 2+ years in AS9100/FAA regulated environment (FAI/NCR/CAPA).
  • Lean/Six Sigma with documented, sustained results (Kaizen/5S/SMED).
  • RCCA proficiency (5 Why, fishbone) with a track record of verified effectiveness.
  • S&OP/capacity planning and finite scheduling; proven OTD improvement to ≥95%.
  • ERP/MRP mastery (preferably Quantum Control); ownership of master data and MRP exceptions.
  • Inventory control (cycle counting/ABC) with ≥97% accuracy sustained.
