Position Highlights:
  • 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

What You'll Do:
  • Design dental restorations using CAD/CAM software and digital workflows, adhering to the prescription requests from the dentists
  • Operate and maintain dental milling machines, scanners, 3D printers, furnaces, and related laboratory equipment
  • Fabricate crowns, bridges, implant restorations, dentures, splints, nightguards, and other prosthetic appliances
  • Import, export, and manage digital dental files
  • Review digital scans for accuracy, margin integrity, occlusion, and restorative fit
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff regarding restorative case planning, shade selection, and design modifications
  • Perform finishing, staining, glazing, polishing, and quality control procedures for final restorations
  • Troubleshoot digital workflow issues, milling errors, scanner issues, and software-related concerns
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, materials, equipment maintenance schedules, and supply ordering
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies
  • Assist in optimizing digital dentistry workflows across multiple clinics as needed
  • Provide training or support to clinic staff related to digital impressions and restorative workflows, when applicable
  • Performs clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a dental laboratory, or as a Dental Assistant
  • Demonstrated experience using intraoral scanners, laboratory scanners, CAD/CAM software, and dental milling equipment
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, restorative materials, and prosthetic design principles
  • Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Completion of a dental laboratory technology program or related technical training preferred
  • Dental assisting experience or dental assistant certification preferred
  • Experience in a Digital Dentistry Environment preferred
  • Experience with implant restorations and full-arch digital workflows preferred
  • Experience with 3D printing technologies and digital denture systems preferred
  • Experience working with digital dental file formats including STL files and digital case workflows preferred
  • Multi-site or high-volume clinic experience preferred
  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) Certification preferred
  • Spanish-speaking skills are preferred at a level 10
  • This position is eligible for Bilingual Differential Compensation when an ALTA score of 10 is achieved
  • Strong proficiency with digital dentistry systems and CAD/CAM technology
  • Ability to operate milling machines, scanners, and associated laboratory equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
  • Ability to interpret prescriptions, scans, and provider instructions accurately
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and workflow issues independently
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Knowledge of restorative and implant workflows in a clinical setting
  • Familiarity with Exocad, 3Shape, CEREC, Medit, iTero, or similar systems
  • Basic understanding of chairside dental assisting procedures
  • Experience training or supporting clinical staff in digital workflows
