Position Summary
The Educational Assistant supports the Interior Design program by maintaining lab facilities, organizing program resources, and assisting faculty and students with daily operations. This position plays a key role in student success by providing updated materials, supporting classroom activities, and offering tutoring in software programs used throughout the Interior Design curriculum.
Primary Duties Performed
  • Maintain equipment in the two design labs/studios.
  • Manage and organize the Interior Design Resource Room, including maintaining materials and samples for student use.
  • Pick up materials from interior design firms as needed.
  • Assist instructors with:
    • Inputting online quizzes
    • Making copies and preparing instructional materials
    • Setting up classrooms and departmental events on campus
  • Provide tutoring and support to students in software programs used within the Interior Design curriculum.
  • Assist with updating student material resources to align with current industry standards and expectations.

Qualifications/Experience
  • Experience working in an interior design educational or studio environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interior design software programs through coursework, internships, or professional experience (Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Enscape, Adobe Photoshop)
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
