Job description

 Position Summary 

The Design Center Consultant (Part-time) supports the day-to-day client experience in the showroom, with a primary focus on Saturdays and other high traffic periods. This role is often the first point of contact for clients and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and helpful environment. 

The Associate Coordinator assists clients as they arrive, gathers basic information, and helps connect them with the appropriate Product Consultant or Specialist. This is an entry level, client facing position with training provided. 

Key Responsibilities 

Client Greeting & Support 

  • Welcome clients as they arrive and help orient them in the showroom 
  • Ask qualifying questions to understand the purpose of their visit 
  • Help connect clients with the appropriate team member 
  • Ensure clients feel acknowledged, supported, and clear on next steps 

Showroom Support 

  • Assist with managing client flow during busy periods, especially Saturdays 
  • Help keep the showroom organized, clean, and client ready 
  • Support smooth transitions between clients and consultants 
  • Help prevent clients from leaving without assistance or direction 

Information & Follow-up Support 

  • Collect basic client contact information and visit notes 
  • Share information with the team to ensure proper follow-up 
  • Flag questions or concerns to the Manager or Experience Manager as needed 

General Assistance 

  • Provide light administrative or operational support as needed 
  • Assist the team with simple tasks during peak traffic 
  • Communicate recurring client questions or issues to leadership 

Schedule: Parttime (15-25 hours per week); Saturdays required 
Employment Type: Hourly 

Qualifications 

  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable engaging with clients 
  • Strong communication and listening skills 
  • Reliable, punctual, and available to work Saturdays (required) 
  • Organized and able to multitask in a fast paced environment 
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or other client facing roles is a plus, but not required
