Vickers Design Group is a renowned full service design and architecture firm located in Atlanta, GA.  We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to be part of our team as a Senior Interior Designer in our West Palm Beach, FL office.  This is a full-time salaried position.
 

General Description of Role:

This role is ideal for an experienced commercial interior designer with strong workplace and retail design expertise, technical proficiency, and knowledge of the South Florida market.

The Senior Interior Designer will lead projects from concept through construction, collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. This individual will serve as a trusted design advisor, leveraging expertise in workplace strategy, permitting requirements, and local industry relationships to deliver successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have an established presence within the West Palm Beach design community and the ability to support client relationships while partnering with the Business Development team. This role focuses on design leadership, mentoring team members, and delivering innovative workplace and retail environments that align with client goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design process from concept to construction on several interior design projects running concurrently. 
  • Interface directly with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the duration of the project.
  • Research code regulations to ensure layouts meet local jurisdictional requirements
  • Understand and navigate local permitting requirements to support project planning and execution.
  • Manage daily workflow and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members. Mentor and build strength in team members.
  • Create and strengthen connections with new and existing clients.
  • Initiate design and lead team in the production of drawings
  • Review project budget and assist in the preparation of invoicing
  • Attend industry events in an effort to network and market the firm

Requirements

  • Focused experience in Workplace Design and Retail Design 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in interior design.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and close attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required
