Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Triage
FTE 1.0
Monday-Friday, 5 days, 40 hrs/wk
Are you a team player who enjoys a work environment that focuses on customer/patient engagement? Twin Ports Dermatology is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a 1.0 FTE at our Duluth location. The primary focus of this position is telephone triage with the following responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Providers, RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and support staff to provide quality patient care in an ambulatory team setting.
  • Assist patients with clinical concerns, medication refills, prior authorizations and appeals, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
  • Communicate with patients regularly over the phone and via patient portal messages.
  • Perform procedures including blood draws, suture removal and wound care, patch testing for allergens, Xtrac laser treatment for atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and vitiligo.
  • Room patients, including review and update of patient information, medications, allergies, etc. Accurately document office visit and provide patient education through the review of their after-visit summary and plan of care.
  • Assisting Providers in patient procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the state of Minnesota or seeking Minnesota licensure through reciprocity.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within three months from the date of hire.
  • Any level of experience, recent clinical experience in a physician office, home health, critical care, and/or emergency room experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in providing quality care to patients.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Acute attention to detail at work.
  • Competent computer skills with the willingness to learn clinic-specific systems.
  • RN experience in Dermatology or ambulatory care setting preferred.
