The Medical Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in Milton, GA. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients, greeting visitors, checking them in and out, and ensuring a professional and welcoming front desk environment. Daily responsibilities include answering and routing phone calls, managing appointment scheduling, verifying patient information, collecting co-pays, and assisting with patient forms and documentation. The Medical Receptionist will coordinate with clinical staff to maintain accurate schedules, support efficient patient flow, and handle general administrative and receptionist duties. The role also involves maintaining patient confidentiality, following office protocols, and providing clear, courteous communication to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Strong front-desk and receptionist skills, including Receptionist Duties and professional Phone Etiquette.
- Experience with Appointment Scheduling and coordinating patient flow in a medical or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology and working in a Medical Office environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including use of electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and reliability in managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in a dermatology or medical office is preferred; high school diploma required.
