About Shyld AI

Shyld AI is building Physical AI Agents for critical healthcare environments. Our platform combines autonomous UV-C disinfection, edge AI, and real-time workflow intelligence to help hospitals improve infection prevention, room readiness, and operational efficiency.

Our devices are deployed in operating rooms, procedural areas, ICUs, patient rooms, and other high-risk environments where reliability, safety, and professionalism are essential.

Role Overview

Shyld AI is looking for a Field Deployment Lead to manage and execute device deployments across hospitals and healthcare facilities across US. This person will lead on-site installations, including mounting Shyld AI devices, coordinating wiring and power setup within hospital rooms, managing contractors or third-party installation partners, and ensuring every deployment is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.

This role combines hands-on field installation, project management, logistics coordination, and customer-facing communication. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically hands-on, comfortable working in hospital environments, and able to coordinate multiple stakeholders to get installations completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Hospital Device Installation

  • Lead on-site installation of Shyld AI devices in hospitals, surgery centers, and other healthcare facilities.
  • Mount devices in clinical rooms, operating rooms, procedural areas, patient rooms, and other designated locations.
  • Coordinate and oversee wiring, power access, cable routing, and related installation work inside hospital rooms.
  • Ensure devices are securely mounted, properly positioned, connected, and ready for commissioning.
  • Follow installation standards for safety, cleanliness, cable management, room access, and hospital requirements.
  • Verify installation quality and ensure each room is completed according to Shyld AI specifications.

Contractor & Third-Party Coordination

  • Coordinate with electricians, low-voltage contractors, facilities teams, installers, and other third-party vendors.
  • Manage contractor schedules, site access, work scope, installation requirements, and completion timelines.
  • Communicate clearly with hospital facilities, EVS, perioperative, infection prevention, and operations teams.
  • Ensure contractors understand Shyld AI installation standards, device placement requirements, wiring needs, and room-specific constraints.
  • Track contractor progress and resolve issues that arise during installation.

Project Management

  • Own deployment planning from pre-installation preparation through final handoff.
  • Build and manage installation schedules, site readiness checklists, equipment lists, and deployment timelines.
  • Coordinate internal teams across operations, engineering, customer success, and sales.
  • Manage multiple installation projects across different customer sites.
  • Maintain accurate deployment documentation, including room layouts, device locations, wiring status, installation photos, serial numbers, and completion reports.
  • Identify risks, delays, or blockers early and communicate them clearly to internal and customer stakeholders.

Shipping, Logistics & Inventory

  • Manage shipping of Shyld AI devices, stands, mounting hardware, tools, cables, and other deployment materials to customer sites.
  • Prepare, pack, label, and coordinate shipments for installations, trials, replacements, and customer deployments.
  • Track inventory of devices, parts, field kits, tools, spare components, and installation supplies.
  • Ensure all materials needed for deployment arrive on time and in good condition.
  • Coordinate returns, replacements, and follow-up shipments when needed.
  • Maintain organized records of shipped devices, delivered equipment, and installed assets.

Technical Setup & Troubleshooting

  • Support device setup, provisioning, connectivity checks, and basic commissioning after installation.
  • Troubleshoot installation-related issues, including power, wiring, mounting, connectivity, and device placement.
  • Escalate technical issues to engineering with clear documentation, photos, logs, and next steps.
  • Help maintain and improve installation guides, field checklists, and deployment standard operating procedures.

Customer Communication & Training

  • Serve as Shyld AIโ€™s on-site deployment lead and primary installation contact during customer deployments.
  • Communicate professionally with hospital stakeholders and installation partners.
  • Provide basic training to customer teams on installed devices, deployment expectations, and support processes.
  • Ensure a smooth handoff to customer success and support teams after installation.
  • Capture customer feedback and field observations to improve future deployments.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in field deployment, construction or wiring coordination, facilities operations, hardware installation, low-voltage systems, field service, technical operations, or a related role.
  • Experience managing on-site installation projects with contractors, vendors, or third-party service providers.
  • Hands-on experience with mounting hardware, wiring coordination, cable routing, power setup, or facilities-based installations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, checklists, vendors, and customer expectations.
  • Comfortable working in hospitals, commercial buildings, or other professional facilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers, contractors, internal teams, and hospital staff.
  • Comfortable handling shipping, logistics, inventory, and deployment materials.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, when hospital installation schedules require it.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license.

Preferred

  • Experience working in hospitals, operating rooms, surgery centers, or other healthcare environments.
  • Experience with low-voltage wiring, electrical coordination, facilities installation, AV installation, security systems, IoT devices, or connected hardware.
  • Familiarity with hospital facilities requirements, infection control protocols, room access coordination, and construction/vendor processes.
  • Experience with device inventory, shipping coordination, and field logistics.
  • Startup experience or experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • OSHA, low-voltage, electrical, construction management, or project management certifications are a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You may be a great fit if you are:

  • Hands-on and comfortable managing physical installation work.
  • Organized enough to manage schedules, contractors, shipments, and multiple hospital rooms at once.
  • Comfortable walking into a hospital site and coordinating with facilities, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented about mounting quality, wiring, cable management, and room readiness.
  • Calm under pressure when schedules shift or installation issues arise.
  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to take ownership until the deployment is complete.
  • Excited to help build the deployment function for a fast-growing healthcare AI company.
