Job description

Placement Type:
Temporary
Salary:
$60-68 Hourly
Start Date:
Aug 24, 2026
Our client is looking for a Product Manager to backfill a 4.5-month leave. While the team member is out, the Product Manager will maintain the roadmap for our client's proprietary AI product. This is a maintain-and-steward role - the priority is continuity, not reinvention.
What You'll Do
  • Keep the existing product roadmap moving - track commitments, unblock the team, and make prioritization calls within the current plan
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer-facing product questions and feedback
  • Partner day-to-day with Engineering to keep sprints/releases on track and remove ambiguity
  • Own and triage escalations - assess severity, coordinate the right people, and communicate status until resolution
  • Maintain clear documentation and handoff notes so the transition back is seamless

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years as a Product Manager, with required B2B SaaS experience
  • Legal tech, compliance, or fintech-adjacent experience is a plus
  • Proven experience stepping into an existing product/team quickly (contract, interim, or fast-onboarding roles a plus)
  • Strong cross-functional communication - comfortable being the calm, clear point of contact between customers, support, and engineering
  • Track record of handling escalations with sound judgment under time pressure
  • Experience with AI/ML-powered features is a plus, not required
  • Experience with Aha!, Jira, or similar product management platforms
  • Available full-time for the full 4.5-month duration
  • This is a remote role, working standard East Coast or Central business hours.
