Our team is growing, and we currently have an opportunity for an Industrial Demolition Worker:

Job Description

The statements below reflect the items considered necessary to describe the essential functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job. Essential Functions:

  • Set up work areas, barricades, and signage; maintain jobsite housekeeping and dust/debris control.
  • Perform selective demolition and dismantling using hand and power tools (e.g., saws, grinders, jackhammers) as assigned.
  • Safely operate demolition equipment as qualified (e.g., skid steer, excavator, forklift, manlift) and assist operators with rigging and spotting.
  • Identify and follow project-specific requirements for regulated materials; stop work and notify supervision if suspect ACM/lead/mold is encountered.
  • Support asbestos-related work activities per training level (e.g., awareness/worker) including containment support, wet methods, HEPA-vac use, and waste handling when authorized.
  • Use and maintain required PPE (respiratory protection, protective clothing, hearing/eye protection, fall protection) and participate in fit testing/medical surveillance as applicable.
  • Perform basic rigging, hoisting support, and material handling; sort, stage, and load debris for recycling/disposal.
  • Complete daily pre-task plans/JHAs, equipment inspections, and required documentation (logs, checklists, waste manifests as assigned).
  • Work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and around energized/locked-out systems following permits and procedures.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, abatement teams, and other trades; communicate hazards and progress updates.

General Educational Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency

Additional Requirements

  • Prefer 1 year of experience in industrial demolition, construction labor, or related heavy industrial work.
  • Asbestos training appropriate to assigned duties (e.g., asbestos awareness and/or accredited asbestos worker training).
  • Willingness and ability to wear a respirator and other PPE; able to pass a respirator fit test and medical clearance when required.
  • Must be capable of working at elevated heights
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Attend work consistently on time and in a reliable manner
  • Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site
  • Understand and follow direction from the direct supervisor
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
