Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven Demolition Supervisor to lead field operations on demolition and dismantling projects. This role is responsible for overseeing crews, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, coordinating project activities, and delivering projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily demolition site operations and crew activities
  • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards
  • Plan and execute demolition strategies, including sequencing and equipment usage
  • Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety meetings (toolbox talks)
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, and quality of work
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation
  • Oversee equipment use, maintenance, and material handling
  • Manage workforce scheduling, training, and performance
  • Respond quickly to on-site issues, emergencies, or changes in scope

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (construction-related degree or certification preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in demolition, construction, or related field
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of demolition methods, heavy equipment, and site safety practices
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards
  • Ability to read blueprints, project plans, and technical documents
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, if applicable)

Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Equipment operation certifications (excavators, cranes, etc.)

Work Environment

  • Outdoor construction/demolition sites with exposure to weather conditions
  • Physically demanding work, including walking, climbing, and lifting
  • May require travel and extended hours depending on project needs
