Position Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end Costpoint ERP implementations for large, complex, or strategically significant client engagements, serving as the primary point of accountability for solution design, delivery quality, and client satisfaction
  • Architect scalable accounting and finance solutions within Costpoint, including advanced configurations for multi-company, multi-currency, and multi-award contract environments
  • Provide authoritative guidance on government contracting accounting frameworks, including FAR/DFARS, CAS compliance, DCAA audit readiness, incurred cost submissions, and indirect rate structures
  • Serve as an executive-level liaison to client leadership (CFO, Controller, VP Finance), building long-term strategic relationships and identifying opportunities for expanded Deltek solutions
  • Mentor, coach, and technically develop Senior and mid-level consultants; conduct knowledge transfer sessions and contribute to the broader professional development of the consulting practice
  • Develop, refine, and champion internal delivery methodologies, implementation playbooks, and best practice documentation to elevate consistency and quality across the practice
  • Lead discovery and solutioning engagements for prospective clients; partner with Sales and Pre-Sales to scope, price, and present complex implementation proposals
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve high-impact project risks and issues; exercise independent judgment to navigate ambiguous or client-sensitive situations with minimal oversight
Qualifications
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with Deltek Costpoint ERP across multiple functional modules and implementation scenarios is required
  • 5+ years of progressive consulting, accounting, or finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred
  • Expert knowledge of government contracting accounting and compliance frameworks: Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), FAR/DFARS, DCAA audit requirements, indirect cost rate structures, and incurred cost submissions
  • Proven ability to operate at the executive level — presenting to and influencing C-suite and senior finance leaders with confidence and credibility
  • Experience managing and developing consulting talent, including mentoring junior and senior consultants in both technical and client-facing competencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; comfort working with financial data, modeling, and reporting tools
  • US Citizenship is required for this role
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior background as a Controller, CFO, or senior finance leader in a government contracting organization
  • Experience designing or contributing to ERP implementation methodologies, delivery frameworks, or center-of-excellence programs
  • Experience supporting pre-sales pursuits, including scoping, proposal development, and client presentations
  • Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Established network and credibility within the government contracting community
