SEWS - Ohio Customer Service Center (Marysville, OH)
BASIC PURPOSE:  Manage customer relations and delivery operations to ensure on-time product delivery, strong customer and internal relationships, and efficient inventory management while promoting continuous improvement and achieving performance targets.
 
BASIC POSITION DUTIES:
  • S-NVC Activities and KPIs
    • Lead and support departmental S-NVC (SEWS New Value Chain) initiatives to support continuous improvement
    • Track, analyze, and report monthly KPIs to ensure performance targets are achieved
  • Customer Relations
    • Provide support to the MBU customer base - including Subaru, Honda, and Tier II suppliers
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer contacts and management to support business objectives
  • Order Management
    • Monitor customer orders and related activities to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met
  • Inventory Control
    • Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability aligns with customer demand
    • Communicate with customers, manufacturing plants, and local staff to support timely production and inventory availability
  • Product Delivery
    • Provide direction and support to warehouse operations to ensure complete and timely delivery to all customers
  • Build-out Management/Start-up Activity
    • Monitor weekly build reports issued by the Delivery team to support smooth start-up activities
    • Ensure all compensation requests are submitted by required deadlines
  • Supplier Performance
    • Review supplier performance reports and ensure root cause analysis is conducted
    • Develop and implement effective countermeasures in a timely manner
    • Communicate issues, actions, and results clearly with customer and SEWS upper management team
  • Performance Management
    • Lead recruitment, selection, training, and performance evaluation of Delivery team members
    • Maintain open and effective communication with all staff
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Lead the team in identifying and implementing improvements to enhance process efficiency and reduce costs
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  
  • Bachelor degree required
  • 8-10 yrs experience in inventory control, purchasing, or customer service environments (automotive industry preferred), including 2-4 years in a supervisory or middle management role.
  • Strong organizational, task management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of SEWS associates and customer contacts
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing salaried staff
  • Ability to lead team to achieve organizational goals and drive performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with mainframe systems, including order and inventory management applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to travel as needed
