Job description

Job Summary:
The Delivery Customer Service Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers regarding deliveries, providing exceptional service and support throughout the delivery process. This role is responsible for coordinating delivery communications, confirming schedules, maintaining accurate customer records, assisting with administrative and compliance tasks, and supporting the delivery management team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of Delivery Customer Service Specialist:
  • Answers all incoming calls and resolves the customer questions or routes them to the appropriate store, service or delivery personnel.
  • Confirm and correspond daily deliveries with customers in support of delivery manager
  • Verify customer contact information in operating and dispatch systems.
  • Reviews & posts positive survey responses on the bulletin boards in the warehouse & follows up with customers on the negative feedback.
  • Receives & distributes mail in Gardner facility
  • Orders office supplies and maintains inventory for Gardner staff
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment including working with drivers to maintain first aid kits in all vehicles (i.e. Penske & Manny's)
  • Works closely with the Delivery Manager in coordination of the topics to discuss for delivery team meeting & sends minutes to Wilbraham & Claremont to discuss with their teams
  • Assists employees with Paylocity issues (once trained)
  • Assist with distribution of uniforms and other company apparel
  • Tracks DOT expiration dates and schedule DOT appointments
  • Administers journal entries into Paylocity in support of Delivery and Fleet/Warehouse Managers
  • Perform housekeeping issues. Supervise outside custodial services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Competencies of a Delivery Customer Service Specialist:
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills
  • Organizational & Time Management Skills
  • Administration skills (i.e. computer entry, meeting coordination; routine follow-up)
  • Attention to detail.
  • Record keeping skills.

Qualifications:
  • H.S. diploma or equivalent is required, and some advanced learning is preferred.
  • Previous office and/or customer services experience is required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
  • Ability to learn various inventory and dispatch tracking software programs.

Salary Description
