Purpose of Position:


Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monteยฎ, Contadinaยฎ and S&Wยฎ. We are currently seeking Seasonal Warehouse Production Workers. Del Monte Foods in Plover, Wisconsin is hiring Seasonal Warehouse Production Operators โ€“ Grade 3 to support warehouse operations, shipping activities, forklift operations, product staging, trailer loading and unloading, inventory movement, and finished goods handling during pack season operations. Employees in these positions may operate forklifts, scan and stage inventory, move finished product, support shipping operations, and coordinate warehouse product flow throughout the facility.

Seasonal Warehouse Production Operator โ€“ Grade 3 employees perform advanced warehouse, forklift, shipping, staging, scanning, inventory movement, and material handling duties in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Employees in these positions are responsible for supporting production flow, warehouse organization, shipping coordination, inventory accuracy, and safe product movement throughout warehouse and production areas.


Employees may be assigned to various warehouse and shipping functions based on operational needs, certifications, qualifications, and seasonal demands. Work areas may include shipping driver operations, backstacker operations forklift and warehouse staging activities, trailer loading and unloading, product scanning and inventory movement, production line supply support, railcar and truck loading support, warehouse inventory organization, finished goods movement and storage, shipping and warehouse coordination activities


Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Production Grade 3 Roles

Employees may perform duties in one or more operational areas, including:

  • Operate forklifts and related warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, stage, scan, and transport finished product, cans, pallets, or materials throughout the facility
  • Supply production lines with materials and remove finished product from production areas
  • Stack and organize product in designated warehouse locations
  • Support shipping operations involving trucks, trailers, or railcars
  • Scan product and inventory using scanning devices or warehouse systems
  • Verify product codes, tags, labels, and shipping information for accuracy
  • Complete forklift inspection checklists and required operational documentation
  • Monitor warehouse areas for safety, inventory accuracy, and operational flow
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, warehouse aisles, staging areas, and equipment
  • Follow GMP, food safety, forklift, shipping, and workplace safety requirements
  • Communicate operational concerns, inventory issues, equipment problems, or safety hazards to leadership
  • Assist with cross-functional warehouse and production support activities as assigned

Training

  • On-the-job training is provided for all assigned work areas. Employees may be cross trained in multiple operational functions based on business needs.



Seasonal Incentives


To support employees during our peak pack season, Del Monte Foods offers select incentives for eligible seasonal workers. These incentives are designed to assist with temporary relocation and seasonal work demands and may include:

  • Housing assistance or housing incentives
  • Transportation allowance
  • Sanitation Bonus (for eligible employees)


These incentives are available only during the active pack season (typically June through early October) and are subject to eligibility requirements, availability, and business needs. Incentives may be modified or discontinued at any time based on operational conditions.


Minimum Skills Required:

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards during extended shifts
  • Ability to read and understand product codes, tags, labels, shipping information, or inventory records
  • Ability to use scanning devices, warehouse systems, or basic computer functions
  • Ability to safely lift, move, push, pull, or carry materials and supplies
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to climb on and off forklifts safely and maneuver equipment in tight warehouse areas
  • Ability to work safely around warehouse traffic, forklifts, conveyors, trailers, and production equipment
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, forklift, manufacturing, or distribution experience
  • Previous experience loading or unloading trailers, trucks, or railcars
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Experience with warehouse scanning systems or inventory tracking
  • Basic computer or scanning experience
  • Experience with product staging, inventory movement, or shipping coordination
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus but not required.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, military service, agricultural work, manufacturing experience, warehouse experience, or related work experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
