Help
  • Ensures system requirements and activities necessary to achieve the objectives are identified, met and resolved, including all technical, administrative and/or operational problems and conflicts.
  • Manages the administrative setup structure within DTS and controls access to the major modules of DTS relevant to the access levels.
  • Oversees the operations of the installation of the DTS help desk.
  • Develops and formalizes processes for reporting, tracking issues and problems registered as help desk tickets, classifying help desk tickets, assigning them for corrective action.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-9) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: Managing or working in travel pay operations; maintaining financial management data; providing guidance for automated financial systems to users; demonstrating thorough knowledge of legislation in relation to a financial management; analyzing system output for accuracy and reliability.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Education
GS-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed higher-level graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
As a condition of employment, you may be required to serve a during which we'll evaluate whether your continued employment advances the public interest. The evaluation will consider: your performance and conduct; the needs and interests of the agency; whether your continued employment advances agency or governmental goals; and whether your continued employment advances the efficiency of the Federal service. At the end of the probationary period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification that your continued employment advances the public interest.
This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program as a condition of employment. If you are selected, you will have to obtain this certification within two (2) years of your entry on duty in the position unless you are already in a position that requires a Level 2 Certification in which case you must complete the certification within the original 2-year period. Failure to become certified within the required time-frame may be grounds for removal from the position and/or from Federal service.
