What You'll Do
  • Inspect parts and assemblies using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) to confirm compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Review supplier documentation and ensure quality during receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Support Manufacturing Associates by interpreting drawings and job instructions for accurate production.
  • Perform functional testing (leak, permeability, dimensional, etc.) per established procedures.
  • Document, communicate, and track inspection results and nonconformance issues, assisting in corrective actions as needed.
  • Participate in audits, maintain quality management system documents, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, management, and customers to ensure inspection standards are met.
  • Follow safety programs and maintain clean, organized QA work areas in support of 5S initiatives.

What You Bring
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ISO 9001 quality management systems and mechanical inspection in manufacturing or service environments.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and clear, concise communication.
  • Blueprint reading experience and proficiency with inspection tools (height gauges, micrometers, calipers, radius gauges).
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High integrity, ethics, and a commitment to quality.

Security & Citizenship Requirement
This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NOFORN). As a result, candidates must:
  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Have no dual citizenship
  • Provide acceptable proof of U.S. citizenship (U.S. Passport, U.S. Birth Certificate, or Naturalization Certificate)

Bonus Skills / Certifications:
  • Associate's degree or professional certifications (AWS CWI, ASQ, ASNT).
  • Knowledge of GD&T and FARO Arm/ Tracker experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality programs.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
