Job description

Join J.P. Morgan's Private Company Research team, which is pioneering research that delivers strategic insights on innovative private companies shaping the future across industries. You'll help clients navigate fast-evolving markets with differentiated perspectives and data-driven analysis.

As an Associate focused on Space and Defense Tech, you will lead quantitative and qualitative analyses of disruptive private companies across the ecosystem. You will generate strategic insights, write high-impact research, and engage directly with institutional clients. The role leverages traditional and alternative data, expert and customer due diligence, and insights from industry conferences. You will collaborate closely with senior Research Analysts and client coverage teams. This high-impact, fast-paced role is ideal for a self-starter with exceptional strategic, analytical, and communication skills, and experience evaluating aerospace and/or defense technologies and companies.

J.P. Morgan Global Research delivers thoughtful, differentiated fundamental analyses, actionable ideas, and thematic insights that empower clients to make well-informed investment and strategic decisions within the Corporate and Investment Bank.

Job responsibilities

  • Conduct primary and secondary research on companies, technologies, and sectors
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Analyze diverse sources, including company and press releases, industry data, and regulatory filings
  • Build and maintain models to track emerging technologies, products, companies, and industry dynamics
  • Deepen insights and network by attending relevant industry events
  • Co-author research notes with differentiated views on specific companies and the broader industry
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients
