Job description

Opportunity
We're looking for a Vice President of Business Development Manager who can shape, lead and deliver high-impact business-winning strategies that take OpenWorks' world-class technology into exciting growth markets.
This is a unique opportunity to own the full business development lifecycle - from blank-sheet strategy creation to winning bids, securing major contracts, and influencing how cutting-edge counter-UAS technology is adopted by defence and security customers.
You will be the driving force behind our growth, working closely with end users, partners, and internal teams to turn ideas into successful campaigns and profitable long-term relationships.
OpenWorks is a rapidly growing business operating globally with a passion for exceptional engineering and building on a legacy of defence innovation that has been delivered worldwide, and is rapidly growing in North America.
Our products provide ultra-high-performance, real-time detection, tracking, identification and targeting of dynamic aerial threats. They have been deployed internationally to protect high-profile military and civilian assets, and contribute towards the defeat of nuisance, misguided and maliciously deployed drones during operations.
We are very proud to have supported a wide range of law-enforcement and military operators, protecting many of the most high-profile sites and individuals around the world.
The amazing things we do are only possible because of a dedicated and passionate team.

  • Proven track record of developing successful, profitable business campaigns and sales
  • Creativity and drive to seek, identify and evaluate new opportunities
  • Commitment to continuously improving business development and sales processes
  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex technical capabilities to non-technical audiences
  • Willingness to travel and represent OpenWorks to customers and suppliers, including supporting system integration activities
  • Confident briefing style suitable for senior stakeholders across industry, government and the military
  • Strong internal relationship-building skills to ensure customer needs are understood and met
  • Successful ability to build and lead a team
  • Full driving licence
  • Ability to obtain (or already hold) security clearance

Desirable:
