Job description

Mi Casita Taxes & Services is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English, have strong tax knowledge, and be confident preparing a wide range of tax returns. Minimum 3 years of experience preparing tax returns

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns

  • Conduct thorough client interviews to ensure all income, deductions, and credits are accurately reported

  • Prepare returns with multiple tax schedules, including but not limited to:

    • Schedule A, C, D, E

    • Credits such as Child Tax Credit, Education Credits, and other common deductions

  • Review supporting documents for accuracy and completeness

  • Explain tax results clearly to clients in both English and Spanish

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws

  • Maintain strict client confidentiality
