Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support a highly available Microsoft Windows-based infrastructure. This role is responsible for advanced system engineering, platform optimization, and serving as a technical escalation point while partnering closely with security, networking, applications, and IT leadership.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, virtualization, automation, and hybrid cloud environments, with a strong focus on reliability, security, and scalability.

Job Description

Key Competencies:
  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows environments
  • Expert knowledge of:
    • Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025)
    • ActiveDirectory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
    • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Strong experience with virtualization (VMware and/or HyperV)
  • Experience supporting hybrid or cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing).
  • Bachelor's Degree in informational technology or related field
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex systems issues
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
Job Responsibilities.Infrastructure Design & Engineering
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments (onprem, hybrid, and cloud)
  • Architect and supportActive Directory, including GPOs, DNS, DHCP, trusts, and identity integrations
  • Lead server lifecycle management, including builds, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning
  • Engineer highavailability and disaster recovery solutions
Operations & Support
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support for systemsrelated incidents and problems
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security posture; proactively address risks
  • Lead rootcause analysis and corrective action planning for complex outages
  • Ensure systems meet SLAs, compliance requirements, and operational best practices
Automation & Optimization
  • Develop automation using PowerShell and related tooling to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Standardize system builds and configurations using infrastructureascode or configuration management tools
  • Continuously optimize system performance and capacity
Cloud & Virtualization
  • Support and integrate Microsoft Azure services (Azure AD, VMs, backups, monitoring)

  • Design and manage virtualization platformssuch as VMware vSphere and/or HyperV
  • Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and replication solutions
Security & Compliance
  • Partner with security teams to implement system hardening, patch compliance, and vulnerability remediation

  • Enforce security baselines and best practices across Windows environments
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, ISO, SOC)
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
  • Document architecture, standards, processes, and procedures
  • Participate in infrastructure planning, budgeting, and roadmap development
  • Collaborate with application, network, and security teams on crossplatform initiatives
