We are looking for an enthusiastic Deck Supervisor to help lead, coach, and support our team of swim instructors and lifeguards while ensuring every shift runs smoothly and safely.

Position Summary

The Deck Supervisor manages assigned shifts including supervision of on-deck employees, maintenance of the pool environment, and interaction with students and families. This role serves as a leader on the pool deck while ensuring exceptional lesson quality, customer experience, and team performance.

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide leadership, coaching, and constructive feedback to instructors and deck teachers
  • Ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and prepare the deck for each shift
  • Perform periodic evaluations of instructors and deck teachers
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Act as a Goldfish Swim School ambassador to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Complete Deck Supervisor logs and monitor student attendance
  • Coordinate tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility
  • Maintain appropriate chemical levels for the pool environment
  • Serve as a substitute swim instructor when needed
  • Support staff development through coaching, workshops, and in-service training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Two or more years as a swim instructor preferred
  • Experience as a youth sports instructor, coach, camp counselor, or teacher preferred
  • College degree preferred
Certificates & Licenses
  • Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications required
  • Goldfish Swim School can provide certification training for qualified candidates

While performing this job, employees are regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise levels are typically moderate.
