Job description

Production Operator - Pay Range = $18/HR.
Frankfort, IL
2nd Shift:
Monday- Weds (1:30-11:30 pm)
Thursday- 1-11 pm

This position is temporary with an opportunity to be hired full-time.
Our manufacturing customer in Frankfort is seeking a skilled Production Operator for an immediate start. This role involves packaging product using a variety of tools.
Job Duties
• Grind reacted batches, package, shrink-wrap full pallets and move to the warehouse with a forklift.
• Report any equipment/process problems to Production Manager and assist maintenance in troubleshooting as required.
• Assist digging kettles by tipping over the kettle using a hand block and tackle, remove the batch from the kettle with a forklift, breakup the mass using a sledgehammer and operate a front end loader to place the material into totes.
• Charge kettles when directed by supervisor.
• Take finished good samples to QA Lab for testing.
• Change grinder/sifter screens on top deck by climbing a ladder to access the second deck.
• Grind/sift work-in-process and package specified weight into designated containers (drums, super sacks, bags etc.).
• Ensure all containers/packages are labeled properly.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices. Clean floor, equipment and on the top deck as outlined on the housekeeping schedule. Manage the grinder 5-S board for tool storage.
Qualifications Required:
• High School Diploma / G.E.D preferred
Knowledge/Skills Required:
• Knowledge of production processes
• Ability to work without direct supervision, team player
• Good interpersonal/communication skills
• Read, write and speak English
• Proficiency in basic math
• Operate fork trucks

  • An employee that works in Illinois is entitled to accrue and use up to 40 hours of paid leave during a 12 month period or a pro rata number of hours of paid leave under the provisions of the State of Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act. The 12 month accrual period is considered to begin for new employees on the employees first day of employment. An employee is entitled to begin using earned and accrued paid leave time 90 calendar days after commencement of employment. Paid leave under this Act shall accrue at the rate of one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked up to 40 hours of paid leave

Eligibility: Active employees with one year of work and during that one year has completed 1,000 hours of service and is at least 21 years of age. Entry dates into the 401(k) are: 1/1 or 7/1 following the one year of service and completing 1,000 hours of work.
The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution. As well as, match 50% of the next 2% of the employee contribution. (The company contribution/match maximum is 4%)
