Job description

HPC-Industrial is looking for a Centrifuge Operator in Norco, La to join the team. In this position you will operate different types of equipment on site. In addition to operating heavy equipment, you will be tasked with unloading waste from incoming trucks. Schedule is Monday-Friday working 40-43 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Completes daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated.
  • Hands-on experience on operations of Decanter centrifuges, belt presses, filter press and ancillary equipment (pumps, conveyors, etc.).
  • Operation of special equipment, such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
  • Operate 5K hotsy pressure washers.
  • Assures unit is never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner which is inconsistent with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements.
  • Assures that all containers are properly secured, i.e. chock blocks, jack stands;
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors

QUALIFICATIONS

What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?

  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs.
  • Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
  • Valid driver license and other requirements of company’s driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
  • May have to provide Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • 6 months plus of centrifuge operating experience preferred;
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Lift 50 lbs.
