Responsibilities

PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE
MEDICAL COLLECTOR

The Georgia Business Center, located in Dunwoody,  just north of 285, is seeking a dynamic and talented Patient Account Representative/Collector. The Patient Account Representative/Collector is responsible for the billing, follow-up, and collection of assigned patient accounts by contacting patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve all outstanding owed balances; works closely with collection agencies for bad debt recovery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide account and billing information to patients, insurance companies and/or collection agencies
  • Control collection efforts of accounts in an organized, professional, and efficient manner
  • Analyze accounts to determine correct insurance payment based on contract rate and patient's share.
  • This is an on-site/in-office position.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care collections or related field, or any combination of education, training, or experience in a health care business office environment. Experience with insurance billing, computer and business software programs (Excel) preferred.

Additional Requirements: This position may require flexible hours, to include overtime.
