Associate Dean of Nursing (Reg FT)
Position Title: Associate Dean of Nursing (Reg FT)
Employment Type: Regular Full-Time

Department:
Nursing
Campus: College Wide
Salary Grade: Salary is commensurate with experience
Remote Work Option: Fully In-Person (May be subject to change)
Additional Information: This position will remain open until filled. Work Hours: Standard College hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Additional hours, including evening and weekend hours, may be needed to meet the needs of the department.
General Summary: Supervises day-to-day activities related to the efficient and effective leadership of academics, including student issues, faculty schedules, course schedules, room schedules, supervision of staff, and community collaboration. This position is also responsible for maintaining relationships with clinical and community partners and participating in workforce and recruiting initiatives.
Requirements:
Master's degree in a related field.
A minimum of five years' progressive experience in academic affairs leadership (community college experience preferred); Active RN license in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure.
Skills and Abilities to:
  • Manage multiple projects, people, and problems simultaneously.
  • Manage people and difficult situations in a reasonable and humanistic manner.
  • Excellent communication, organization, accountability, writing and mediation skills.
  • Supervise adjunct faculty and staff and demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Computer, budget management, and program coordination skills.

Duties:
Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Supports the AVP/Dean in the successful deployment of strategic initiatives, including the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of disciplinary programs and services.
  • Monitors course and room schedules to meet student needs based on demand, resources, technology, and facilities.
  • Coordinates with other Associate Deans in the Division to hire and review assignments for a diverse workforce of adjunct faculty and support staff; coordinates, supervises, and conducts all needed evaluations, including classroom observations, portfolio reviews, and reviews of assigned duties and responsibilities; updates records, personnel files, and other documentation as required by contract; oversees a survey of student opinion administration and the review of course outlines.
  • Approves course waivers, course substitutions, and other exceptions or requests.
  • Participates in budget development for the division.
  • Facilitates academic misconduct policy.
  • Enforces CCAC policies and procedures that apply to all faculty and academic staff.
  • Coordinates responses to student academic issues and complaints; oversees student academic complaint procedures.
  • Coordinates renovation and updating of instructional areas in consultation with other Associate Deans in the Division; monitors and updates instructional equipment; and facilitates funding requests via the Perkins grant.
  • Collaborates with others to promote student recruitment, registration, orientation, retention, and placement and foster CCAC's mission and strategic goals.
  • Fosters off-site learning and program development, including union programs and school districts.
  • Performs other duties as related or as assigned.
