Job description

Overview:

Ilderton Conversion of Charleston is seeking a reliable independent contract driver in the Charleston, SC area to transport vehicles for the dealership. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to safely and efficiently deliver vehicles to various locations including customer homes, auction sites, and partner dealerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver vehicles in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after delivery and document any damage or other findings.
  • Maintain regular communication with dealership personnel and promptly communicate any delays or issues.
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety requirements.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries and mileage.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to and from pick-up locations.
  • Access to a reliable GPS or navigation system.
  • Ability to operate a variety of passenger vehicles safely.
  • No CDL required. Drivers will transport one vehicle at a time; no transport truck is necessary.
