We offer insurance through our trusted carrier partners to provide coverage for your Toyota vehicle, home and other assets. Our mission is to improve the Toyota ownership experience by improving the insurance experience.
Your Day-to-Day:
  • Toyota Insurance is looking for a Licensed Insurance Agent to work in our Chicago Northside Toyota dealership located in Chicago, Illinois. You will be responsible for prospecting new customers for home, auto, and other personal line products as well as meeting with referral contacts to generate new business in our illustrious dealership.
  • As a Licensed Insurance Agent embedded right on the floor of our high-energy Northside Chicago Dealership, you will meet customers at one of the biggest moments of their lives, purchasing a new car, and helping them protect everything that matters most: their home, their car, and their family.

Essential Job Functions:
  • You'll assess client's unique situations and recommend insurance plans that provide optimal protection.
  • You are the go-to insurance expert in the dealership and the person that customers turn to when it is time to get covered.
  • You'll leverage our proven approach to ensure clients not only get the right coverage but also experience exceptional service throughout the process.
  • You'll actively connect with current and potential clients, fostering trust and loyalty through clear communication and follow-up.
  • Prospect new customers and turn dealership traffic into closed policies across auto, home, and personal lines.
  • Build relationships with dealership staff and referral contacts who send warm leads straight to you.
  • You'll be an integral part of our dealership's full-service commitment, collaborating with colleagues to deliver a seamless experience for everyone.
  • You'll proactively seek out new opportunities through phone outreach, networking, and other lead generation strategies.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Requires a valid Illinois Property& Casualty insurance license.
  • Minimum of 4 years of insurance sales experience required.
  • High School Graduate. College degree preferred but not required.
  • Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.

Required Knowledge & Skills:
  • Dealership sales awareness - understands and respects the automotive sales process; understands the F&I workflow and knows how to time insurance conversations as a complement to the closing process.

Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $50,000
  • Commission: Uncapped - your earning potential is entirely in your hands.

We believe in rewarding the work you actually put in. That's why we pair a stable base salary with an uncapped commission structure.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Onsite: 11:00 AM-8:00 PM, 1 weekend day off/month + alternating Sundays (subject to business needs).

Work Environment Physical Demands:
This role is based on-site at our Chicago Northside Toyota Dealership. This is not a remote position. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced retail automotive environment where activity is constant, and every day brings new customer interactions. Indoor dealership setting with moderate to high noise levels during peak hours. Customer-facing and highly collaborative environment working alongside dealership sales staff, finance managers, and leadership. Performance is visible, as results are tracked, celebrated, and rewarded.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to remain on your feet or move throughout the dealership floor for extended periods.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting when completing applications, reviewing policies, or conducting customer consultations.
  • Occasional lifting of materials, displays, or promotional items up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in person and by phone in a high-activity environment.
