Overview:
As part of the Paramount Programmatic sales team, the Programmatic Account Manager plays an important role in growing Paramount's Programmatic advertising revenue. Programmatic Account Managers are in charge of collaborating with the Programmatic and Direct AEs to manage existing business and generate new programmatic revenue from agencies and marketers, with a consultative and technical advertising approach.
 
This role requires deep knowledge and comprehension of programmatic advertising and the supporting AdTech ecosystem of DSPs and SSPs, and a strategic and analytical approach to troubleshooting, data analytics and client relations.
 
The Paramount Programmatic Account Management team is a central team within the Paramount Sales organization tasked with spearheading programmatic revenue and embracing the innovation and ad technology that Paramount programmatic brings to the marketplace. The Programmatic sales team partners with the convergent Paramount sales team and executives working with direct clients, agencies, and third-party partners (e. g. SSPs, DSPs, ATDs, etc).
 
Located in Chicago or New York City, the Programmatic Account Manager supports the Paramount programmatic sales team with planning, executing and monitoring the programmatic ad campaigns. This role works closely with Programmatic clients, the Paramount Programmatic and Direct Sales teams and the Programmatic Partnerships team to ensure impeccable campaign planning and execution. This includes diligent campaign management across all steps of the sales process (Pre-sales, Campaign Launch, Post Delivery) while working closely with internal stakeholders, clients and partners to maximize the effectiveness and revenue potential of their programmatic deals and campaigns.
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Support the education and evangelization of Paramount's programmatic strategy, best practices, and offerings both internally and externally, serving as a key programmatic subject matter expert, evangelist and sales resource to drive programmatic revenue via PMPs and PG.
  • Develop a solid awareness of Paramount's Ad Tech stack, integrated partners and the general programmatic ecosystem
  • Become power user of key third-party systems such as Salesforce, Operative and SSP user portals (such as FreeWheel, Magnite and PubMatic) which are utilized for deal set up, management, troubleshooting and forecasting.
  • Serve as the PMP Deal Manager and Client Service Lead for your assigned Hold Co and Accounts with:
  • Pre Campaign Launch/Deal Creation - Lead PMP Deal Set up and Troubleshooting including Creative QA process, Forecasting support
  • Deal Launch - Forward-thinking Deal Monitoring, Continued Troubleshooting to ensure campaigns start on time and without any issues
  • Deal Monitoring - Observant PMP campaign monitoring to maximize spend - including PMP pacing spend/deal health, optimizations/recommendations, Internal and External PMP Reporting from Salesforce/Freewheel, continued forecasting support
  • Client Servicing - Forward-thinking involvement with your Programmatic clients through regular check ins to provide regular PMP reports and insights related to deal health while Instilling PMP Best Practices with buyers
  • Sales Prospecting - Support your assigned Programmatic Account Executives proactive prospecting providing spend reports through indirect opportunities, bid CPM optimization, week over week top spenders across Direct & Indirect businesses
  • Collaborate with the Direct Sales team with Programmatic Guaranteed Deal Management to ensure campaign delivery and troubleshooting.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A BS/BA degree, or equivalent training and experience
  • 2+ years proven advertising sales experience in the programmatic space
Additional Qualifications:
  • Programmatic-savvy expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit who will thrive in a team, solution selling and goal-oriented environment
  • A solid knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem and current industry trends in display, video, and native

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $69,000.00 - 84,000.00 + 45% Sales Bonus. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.  This position is eligible to earn sales incentive compensation.
