Job description

About Us

McSpadden Motors is a trusted independent dealership serving Globe, Miami, and the surrounding Gila County community. We take pride in offering quality pre-owned vehicles with straight-shooting customer service. As an independent lot, we run a lean, agile operation where every team member makes a direct impact. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Sales Manager to lead our sales floor, run the desk, manage inventory, and deliver a top-notch buying experience for our local customers.

Position Overview

As the Sales Manager at McSpadden Motors, you will drive dealership revenue and profitability by overseeing daily sales operations. You will desk deals, present retail automotive finance options, appraise and acquire pre-owned inventory, and work directly with customers on the floor.

This role requires a proven automotive professional who thrives in an independent dealership setting—someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats, working directly with lenders, and building lasting customer relationships in a tight-knit community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Desking & Deal Structuring: Structure and desk deals efficiently to maximize gross profit while maintaining competitive customer pricing. Present transparent finance options, menus, and aftermarket products.

  • Finance (F&I): Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and national prime and subprime lenders. Handle contract processing, loan submissions, and ensure complete compliance with state/federal finance regulations.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee pre-owned inventory lifecycle, including trade-in appraisals, wholesale acquisitions, reconditioning flow, pricing adjustments, and lot presentation.

  • Sales Leadership & Customer Relations: Engage directly with customers on the sales floor to close deals, handle escalated inquiries, and ensure total satisfaction.

  • Marketing & Lot Presence: Ensure inventory is properly merchandised, listed online, and ready for immediate sale.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years of automotive dealership management experience (Sales Manager, Desk Manager, or Finance Manager). Independent dealership experience is strongly preferred.

  • Finance Expertise: Proven track record in deal structuring, F&I product presentation, and working with both prime and special finance lenders.

  • Desking & Valuation: Strong skills in deal desking, trade-in appraisal, and pre-owned vehicle market pricing.

  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on building long-term community relationships.

  • Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record required.

What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: Generous pay structure with strong performance-based earning potential.

  • Autonomy & Impact: Play a central leadership role in a well-established independent lot without corporate red tape.

  • Great Work-Life Balance: Dealership operating hours built around a solid work-life balance for our staff.

  • Employee Discounts: Discounts on vehicle inventory and service.

How to Apply

If you are an experienced automotive manager looking for a rewarding role with an established local dealership, apply directly on Indeed or bring your resume by McSpadden Motors at 910 N Broad St, Globe, AZ!
