When a group of families came together in 1957 to find services for their children with developmental disabilities, ACLD was born. Today, we are a leading not-for-profit agency employing 1200+ staff and providing over 70 program sites in Nassau and Suffolk. ACLD assists children, teens and adults in reaching the highest level of independence. We are currently seeking a few exceptional people who have a passion to make a meaningful impact by facilitating the lives of the amazing people we support.

As a Regional I/DD Group Home Supervisor, you will primarily oversee the delivery of all services as you ensure services and program environments are of the highest quality to promote maximum integration into the community. You will manage diverse duties and multiple priorities, and maintain effective relationships with people supported, families, staff, and other internal/external departments. You must possess strong initiative, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to be creative, while managing multiple priorities in our Residential Program. Position has on-call responsibilities Monday through Friday but weekends are rotated between Residential Administrators.

Specifically, as a Regional I/DD Group Home Supervisor you will:

  • Promote a positive and productive work environment in a cluster of four adult group homes
  • Hire, train, and coach Residential Managers including Assistant Managers and Direct Support Professionals as you promote ACLDโ€™s values and strategic vision.
  • Ensure quality services are provided to each individual through person-centered planning and maximize opportunities for integration within the community.
  • Manage multiple budgets and ensure sound fiscal management procedures are followed
  • Ensure accurate documentation and service billing is complete and submitted in a timely fashion for assigned programs
  • Act as a liaison with the Clinical team to ensure quality clinical services.

We require:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in the field of Human Services required.
  • 5 yearsโ€™ experience in the Human Services Field with at least one year working with developmentally disabled adults.
  • 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD systems and regulations essential
  • The ability to obtain/maintain/perform (within 180 days of hire) SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) Certification
  • Clean, valid NYS driverโ€™s license.
