Job Summary:
Monticello School District is seeking licensed substitute teachers for the 2025-2026 School Year.  Substitutes are needed Monday - Friday on student contact days.  Eight hours shifts available at all age levels - preschool through high school.  As a substitute teacher you set your availability and preferred age groups.  Background check and annual online training required for this position.  







Licensure Required:  
Current short call substitute license or standard teaching license for the State of Minnesota
Essential Skills Required:

  • Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district.
  • Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning.

2026-2027 School Year Rate of Pay:  
Monticello Public Schools offers an incentive tiered pay system for substitute teachers.  

Days Rate 1 -20 $195 / Day 21-49 $205 / Day 50+ Days $215 / Day
