Job description

Supervisor-Premium Accounting 

Position Summary 

The Supervisor in Premium Accounting plays a critical role in managing and overseeing premium accounting activities within the organization. This position involves handling various tasks related to premium deposits, reconciliations, and team management. The Supervisor collaborates with cross-functional teams, ensures compliance, and contributes to process enhancements.

Job duties: 

  • Daily tracking of premium accounting work and suspended items.
  • Monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
  • Address escalated inquiries and resolve issues related to premium accounting.
  • Conduct side-by-side sessions with team members.
  • Sit with individual team members to answer questions and provide guidance.
  • Manage deposit activity, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Assign deposits to the premium accounting team for reconciliation and application.
  • Review daily Unapplied Cash (UAC) reports (7-10 days).
  • Monitor Aged Accounts Receivable (AR) and Aged Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Regularly review Cash Inquiry Tickets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in premium accounting or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., accounting software, Excel).
