Assistant Manager - Dairy Queen (Franchise Location)

8650 Lee Vista Blvd, Orlando, FL 32829

Pay: $16-$18 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Open availability required

You are applying to work for a franchisee of the Dairy Queen system, not American Dairy Queen Corporation. The franchisee is an independent business owner and will be your employer if hired.About the Role

At Dairy Queen, we create positive memories for our fans every day. We're looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager who takes pride in running strong shifts, leading teams, and delivering excellent service.

This is not a desk job. This is a leadership role for someone who wants ownership, accountability, and real impact on results.

What You'll Do
  • Lead by example and represent the Dairy Queen brand professionally
  • Deliver excellent customer (fan) service and coach the team to do the same
  • Run shifts across front of house and kitchen operations
  • Control labor and food cost to support profitability
  • Enforce food safety, cleanliness, and brand standards
  • Help hire, train, coach, and develop Shift Leads and Crew Members
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized restaurant
  • Handle customer concerns using service recovery standards
  • Support local marketing and community efforts when needed
  • Take ownership of your responsibilities and hold the team accountable
What We're Looking For
  • 1-3 years of restaurant leadership experience (QSR preferred)
  • Experience managing labor and food cost
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
  • High energy, dependable, and organized
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willing to work around heat, cold, and busy shifts
  • Professional attitude, punctual, positive mindset
