ENR 500 and 600 ranked for engineering and construction, KIELY serves the needs of our customers, offering a diversified list of services, such as full-service engineering, utility construction, heavy highway, hot mix asphalt production, equipment sales and leasing, recycling services, and residential and commercial building, leasing and maintenance.

POSITION SUMMARY: Installation and maintenance of natural gas pipeline
  • Responsible for digging trenches, installing natural gas steel pipelines; and backfilling excavations with asphalt
  • Responsible for entering and exiting excavations varying in depth from 2' to 5'
  • Shovel dirt, rake dirt or hot asphalt, jackhammer roadways or sidewalks, jackhammer concrete
  • Carry materials or equipment to and from the truck to a jobsite
  • Use of a chop saw to cut concrete, use of a hammer drill to core through concrete foundations, entering basements or crawlspace to perform necessary pipefitting or meter service work
  • Perform basic pipe fitting with pipe sizes from ½" to 2"
  • Tapping and stopping off water or gas service tees from the main line, in addition to numerous push/pull activities associated with underground construction work
  • Additional safety sensitive duties as required

Competencies
  • High School Diploma, or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years construction site experience
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to operate the a variety of simple and complex tools
  • Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Heavy construction equipment experience highly desirable
