We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Barista at our Starbucks in Downtown Spartanburg.
What will you be doing most days?
  • Act with integrity, honesty and competence-promoting the culture, values and mission of Starbucks
  • Deliver legendary customer service by having a customer-comes-first attitude-connecting with the customer, discovering the customer's needs, and responding to those needs.
  • Contribute to a positive environment by recognizing changes in coworkers' morale and performance and communicating those changes to the supervisor or manager
  • Assist with the training of new team members
  • Follow Starbucks' operational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that coworkers can locate resources and products.
  • Maintain calm demeanor during periods of high volume or during unusual events to continue operational standards and to set a positive example for the store's team.
  • Follow all cash management policies
  • Adhere to all recipe and presentation standards
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Continually reviews the store's environment to identify problems, concerns and opportunities

What are the requirements for this position?
  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You have strong customer service in retail and/or hospitality knowledge
  • You have strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • You learn quickly, build relationships, and communicate effectively

Physical Requirements for this Position
This can be a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.
Travel Requirements
This position will require little to no travel outside the property and surrounding areas.
