Job description

**This position is 24 hours on, 48 hours off with a Wednesday Kelly day.
The Paramedic performs advanced life support and technical emergency medical work in the field and the ER, mentors EMT's and trains the public and students in EMS. The major challenge of this position is to provide accurate physical assessment and interpretation of patient condition and administer appropriate basic and advanced life support treatment. The incumbent must be able to work under stress and initiate appropriate life saving measures and perform physical activity which requires full range of body movement, often in uncontrolled, potentially dangerous situations. May plan and conduct training sessions on basic and advanced life support techniques. After appropriate training, this position may perform other technical rescue functions. The role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned to meet Daviess Community Hospital EMS needs.
Qualifications
Licensure/Certification requirements: Indiana Paramedic License (National Registry Preferred), driver's license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Education requirements: Must have certifications in ITLS, AMLS, and CEVO within 1 year of hire date.
Experience requirements: One year full time or two years part time or volunteer EMS experience
**Must be 21+ years of age.
