Job description

Datacenter Infrastructure Support Specialist

Responsible for providing 24/7 hands-on support for datacenter infrastructure including servers, storage, network devices, racks, and cabling, ensuring operational stability, incident resolution, and adherence to SLA requirements in a large-scale datacenter environment.

Requirement/Must Have:
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in datacenter operations in large and complex environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with servers, storage, network devices, racks, and cabling.
  • Experience in racking, stacking, cabling, decommissioning, and break-fix support.
  • Experience handling incidents, service requests, and SLA adherence.
  • Strong understanding of datacenter operations including capacity planning for rack space, power, and cooling.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors for projects and break/fix activities.
  • Strong knowledge of operational monitoring and maintenance tools.
Experience:
  • Experience in managing or supporting large-scale datacenter operations.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure operations in 24/7 environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 support for datacenter infrastructure including servers, storage, network, and racks.
  • Perform hands-on datacenter tasks including racking, stacking, cabling, and hardware maintenance.
  • Handle decommissioning and break/fix activities for datacenter equipment.
  • Monitor and support infrastructure operations and ensure system stability.
  • Manage incidents and service requests while adhering to SLA requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors for installations, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Support project teams with new installations and system decommissioning.
  • Perform capacity planning for rack space, power, and cooling requirements.
  • Analyze production operations and initiate corrective actions for stability and efficiency.
  • Maintain proper documentation and process adherence for all datacenter activities.
  • Participate in monitoring, maintenance, and operational improvement activities.
Should Have:
  • Experience with console access, iLO/iDRAC configuration and IP setup.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Familiarity with patch panels and cross-connects.
  • Experience with MS Office tools including Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with monitoring, deployment, and provisioning tools.
  • Experience in 12-hour shift and night shift environments.
  • Experience working under pressure in SLA-driven environments.
Skills:
  • Datacenter infrastructure management.
