Databricks MVP Architect

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid Preferred) | Remote Considered
Type: Full-Time

Overview:

We are seeking a Databricks MVP Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data platform. This role combines strategic architecture, hands-on leadership, and expertise in building scalable Lakehouse solutions on Databricks.

Current Databricks MVP designation is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect and lead enterprise data and AI solutions on Databricks.
  • Design and optimize Lakehouse architectures using Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
  • Establish data governance, security, and architecture standards.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to drive data strategy.
  • Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership.
Requirements:
  • Active Databricks MVP designation (Required)
  • 10+ years of Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Cloud Architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Databricks experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
  • Databricks Professional Certifications.
  • Experience with AI/ML and Generative AI workloads.
  • Consulting or client-facing architecture experience.
