Principal Database Administrator
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Database administration of servers in cluster and container environments running a variety of applications to include Ubuntu Linux.
•Work will include refinement of database architecture design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and urgent troubleshooting efforts.
•Perform administrative and maintenance tasks on PostGRES databases. •Perform planning, coordination, and execution of database installations and upgrades and patches.
•Respond to all database related work requests, including working with system maintainers, system engineering analysis, and integration efforts.
•Maintain and update design and database schema documentation. The work environment fluctuates between routine and urgent, depending on ongoing tasks, priorities, and performance of assigned systems.
